Installation
(1)Connect diverter to faucet.
(2)Push the shorter end of prefilter tubing all the way into the fitting (Inlet) at the bottom of the filter ( Must push completely into the fitting as far as possible). The stainless Collet (gripper) will grip the tube tight.
(3)Push the Swivel Spout into opening in top of filter.
- Place the unit so Spout is facing the faucet and turn on the cold water.
- Divert the water flow by pulling lever on the diverter gently and let go. It only takes a few seconds for the water to begin to flow out form the filter. The water will first be dark with carbon dust. Let it run for 10-15 minutes until water becomes clear. The filter is now ready for use.
Cautions
- During installation, avoid pushing hard to damage of the unit and parts.
- To remove the tube from the filter, press the fitting in with figures of your left hand while your right hand pull the tube out gently.
- The slower a unit flows, the better the water is filtered. 1/3 gallon flow per minute is normal.
- If your unit flows at less than 1/3 gallon per minute, or if the diverter slide goes back automatically, it could be caused by low pressure that happens in high rise buildings. It is not caused by the filter.
- Another reason for slow flow could be excessive sediments for the prefilter. Then you need to open the prefilter house, take out the cartridge, brush clean and put back., Do not press the plastic cover to hard to avoid crack. A prefilter cartridge can be repeated use for one year. Do not use the filter without a prefilter as the filter‘s useful life can be shortened due to excessive sediments.
- Use only on cold water ( 85 F/ 29 C). Hot water will cause damage to the unit.
- Useful life ends on 12,000 gallon water filtration or after 3 years’ usage, A new filter should be replaced then to ensure the refresh quality water.
- Small black carbon particles in the water is common to all carbon filters that release harmless carbon fines or dust. One should not be concern.
- White particles or film in the water is calcium that is normally dissolved in the water, which is one of the healthy minerals that H2O Processors are designed to leave in the water.
Warranty
The warranty covers manufacturing defects only. Defected unit can be returned for free replacement, shipping and handling, within 30 days of invoice date. After 30 days any unit returned must be postage prepaid plus prorata charge of $40.00 per month. Return or replacement due to damage caused by excessive sediments, hot water filtration or mishandling by users is not acceptable.
